These are Gold Filled Earwire. The surface is finely textured with an uneven finish, giving them a sparkling shine and an elegant impression. Gold Filled refers to a material (brass) that has 14K gold pressure-bonded to its surface. If the weight of the gold constitutes 1/20 or more of the total weight, it is called Gold Filled. While 14K gold is pressure-bonded and the surface is entirely 14K, the characteristic is that the invisible core (not touching the skin) is made of brass, making it available at a more accessible price. Therefore, its appearance is similar to gold parts and differs from the appearance of plated parts. Additionally, it is more durable (less prone to peeling) than plating.
