This is an Onyx Carving of Bishamonten, one of the Seven Lucky Gods. It is a very popular item as a good luck charm. Originally known as Kubera, the Hindu god of wealth and treasure, he came to be known as Bishamonten in Japan. The Carving is accented with gold, which makes it stand out beautifully. We have confirmed that the color does not fade when wet. Since this is a machine Carving, the consistent quality of the Carving is also a charm.
