This is an Onyx Carving of Fukurokuju, one of the Seven Lucky Gods. It is a popular item as a good luck charm. Fukurokuju is considered another name for Jurojin of the Seven Lucky Gods, or the same deity, embodying the three virtues of happiness, wealth (fortune), and longevity. The Carving is enhanced with gold coloring.
We confirmed that there was no color fading when wet.
Since this is a machine Carving, the stable Carving is also an attractive feature.
