These are Gold Filled hook-style earring parts (leverback earrings).
They feature a spring-loaded clasp at the back, making them secure and less likely to fall off.
Gold Filled refers to a material (brass) that has 14K gold pressure-bonded to it. When the weight of the gold constitutes 1/20 or more of the total weight, it is called Gold Filled.
The surface is entirely 14K gold due to the pressure bonding, while the unseen core (which does not touch the skin) is brass, making it an affordable option. Therefore, its appearance is similar to solid gold parts, and different from plated parts. Additionally, it is more durable (less likely to peel) than plating.
The ring on these earrings is open, allowing you to easily change decorative elements.
