These are Akoya pearls from Ise-Shima, Mie Prefecture. Akoya pearls are known as the "Queen of Pearls" for their elegant and profound luster, and they have captivated people all over the world. These are undyed pearls, meaning their color has not been adjusted (dyed) by hand by humans, and they are natural. Undyed pearls are rarer than standard dyed Akoya pearls. The natural shapes, resembling fish fins, are also beautiful.
