This is a chondrite meteorite discovered in the Sahara Desert. Chondrites make up the majority (Approx 86%) of meteorites that fall to Earth and are said to resemble the geological composition of the sun. This meteorite is also believed to be rock that cooled and solidified deep underground on Mars, at a depth of 100m, in ancient times, and was then ejected by a planetary collision. Sahara NWA is characterized by its overall deep brown color and natural magnetic properties. It is popular not only for its mineralogical appeal but also as a power stone.
