This is a beautiful mixed stone, Chinese Nuummite (Nuumite, Astrophyllite), featuring a black color with a glassy luster.
According to a gemologist, it is a mixed stone composed of multiple minerals. A separate appraisal for a different shape listed three primary minerals: "Anthophyllite," "Quartz," and "Staurolite." It is very rare for an appraisal result to list three names for a single mineral. Additionally, the gemologist mentioned that it also contains elements of Garnet.
Based on a black color, this richly colored stone includes transparent areas from quartz, brown and gray areas from other minerals, and linear, Pietersite-like brilliance with golden inclusions.
