This is a Gold Filled (GF) post. It can be inserted into a half drilled hole bead and secured with adhesive to create a dangle.
Gold Filled is a material where 14K gold is pressure-bonded to a base metal (brass). It is called Gold Filled when the weight of the gold constitutes 1/20 or more of the total weight. The surface is entirely 14K gold, but by using brass for the unseen core (which does not touch the skin), it offers an affordable price. Therefore, its appearance is similar to solid gold parts and differs from plated parts. It is also more durable (less likely to peel) than plating.
The rounds used in the image are 6mm and 8mm.
