These are Gold Filled Jump Rings (rings) with a textured surface. These are closed type (non-opening) with soldered connections. Gold Filled refers to a material (brass) with a layer of 14K gold pressure-bonded to it. If the weight of the gold constitutes 1/20 or more of the total weight, it is called Gold Filled. While the surface is entirely 14K gold, using brass for the unseen core (not touching the skin) makes it more affordable. Therefore, its appearance is similar to solid gold parts, differing from plated parts. It is also more durable (less prone to peeling) than plating.
