Spinel Property
Spinel can take several colors red, blue, orange, pink, purple or green depending on the impurities found in its crystal structure, chromium for red, iron for green and cobalt for blue. Its name comes from the Latin, spinella, which means thorn because of its very sharp crystals. Spinel gemstones are cubic, crystalline and octahedral in shape and have a Mohs hardness of 8. Its brilliance is vitreous and has a beautiful transparency and few inclusions in the heart of the stone.Features of Spinel Beads
