Il s'agit de quartz de cristal fondu en forme de papillon (quartz reconstitué). Le quartz de cristal fondu est formé en faisant fondre de la poudre de quartz naturel à haute température. Il présente une grande transparence et, étant artificiellement fabriqué, sa qualité est stable. Comme le quartz naturel, il contient du dioxyde de silicium, mais comme il n'est pas cristallisé, il est identifié comme une "pierre d'imitation (verre)" lors de l'évaluation. Le quartz de cristal naturel voit son prix s'envoler en raison de la diminution des pierres brutes de haute qualité. Le quartz de cristal fondu est plus abordable que le naturel, veuillez donc choisir en fonction de vos besoins.
