Iolite Property
Iolite, also known as cordierite, is a rather hard stone of the silicate family having for characteristic its rather soft blue-violet color. This stone, which is found in the form of crystals in its natural state, was used as a compass by the Vikings several centuries ago, as it allowed Scandinavian navigators to find their way in foggy weather by filtering light. Iolite is becoming an increasingly popular blue gemstone that is relatively easy to obtain.Features of Iolite Beads
