Thulite beads and cabochons

Thulite is a pink to reddish variety of zoisite, a mineral colored by its manganese content.

Primarily found in Norway, thulite is said to have been named after Thule, a legendary land featured in ancient Greek and Roman literature and often associated with the far north.

With a Mohs hardness of approximately 6.5–7, thulite is suitable for use in jewelry and is commonly crafted into beads, loose stones, and cabochons. Its natural patterns and charming pink hues make it a popular choice for distinctive gemstone jewelry.

As a side note, tanzanite—known for its vivid blue color—is also a type of zoisite.
