本產品經過加壓和熱處理。目前，琥珀加工技術已進步，通常會將薄的原石施以熱壓處理，使其重新塑形為較厚的形態，然後再進行進一步加工。這種方法更容易製作出較大的尺寸，並減少原物料損耗，從而能夠以更實惠的價格銷售。據我們所知，近年來大多數形狀均勻的琥珀片都採用了這種方法。關於採用這種技術加工的琥珀，寶石學會尚未有統一的看法，因此，根據鑑定師的個人知識和解釋，可能會發出「琥珀」鑑定報告，或者拒絕發出報告，或者被判定為「仿製石」。
