據寶石學家稱，它是一種由多種礦物組成的混合石。
針對不同形狀進行的單獨鑑定結果列出了三種主要礦物：
「直閃石」
「石英」
「十字石」
單一礦物鑑定結果能列出三個名稱是非常罕見的。
此外，寶石學家提到它還含有石榴石成分。
以黑色為基底，它包含石英的透明區域、其他礦物的棕色和灰色部分，以及豐富的色彩，帶有線狀、彼得石般的光澤和金色內含物。
