Il s'agit d'une forme tubulaire de Kaolinite (également appelée Hailoysite ou Hylosite). C'est une pierre synthétique appelée "neri", fabriquée à partir de poudre de pierre, et identifiée comme une pierre d'imitation. Nous l'avons essuyée avec une serviette humide pour vérifier la décoloration due à la teinture, mais aucune perte de couleur n'a été observée.
