Ce sont des perles rondes en kaolinite (kaolinite, halloysite, hirosite). Elles sont des pierres synthétiques appelées « neri », fabriquées à partir de poudre de pierre, et sont identifiées comme des imitations de pierres. Ces perles présentent de magnifiques motifs marron et beiges. Nous avons testé de les essuyer avec une serviette humide, et aucune décoloration ne s'est produite en raison du processus de teinture.
